The massage was goood! Except I don't think it can really be called aromatherapy when you have a blocked nose.

DIY aromatherapy with some Vick's!

For my birthday mum got me a mini facial voucher for a day spa at a gym. I just booked it for Tuesday, and added on a quick neck and shoulder massage. God damn it I need some relaxation (work is the worst ever right now).

I went and got myself a facial today and while I was there the lady told me that the little bumps on my face that I had previously been told were cysts and not to remove unless they got bigger were actually some kind of acne under the skin so she lasered them off for me. Now I have two little black holes on my face but they'll heal in a few days. Just so happy to get rid the not-cysts!

I had a 30 minute mirimiri massage today followed by a mud bath then sulphur spa. The massage was incredible, the mud bath was divine and my skin feels so soft and lush now.

Not bad for a day at work.

I've been going to the student clinic at Endeavour College. I did a couple of sessions of acupuncture and a remedial massage today with each treatment only being $5. Going back for another massage next week before the clinic closes for summer break.

Yesss the only problem with student clinics is waiting for the summer break to be over! :p

I don't know why, but I just read this article and every single comment, and now I cannot stop thinking about a deep tissue massage.

I know what am I going to do, and I think they think I'm a student there not just a general student which is probably why it is so cheap.

And Tash you will either love or hate deep tissue. I personally love it, the massage I got on Friday was more deep tissue and involved lots of wincing and the occasional flinch due to pain. All of the lovely trigger points got pushed, and I was kindly informed my quads and hamstrings were the tightest he had encountered. All good therapist should give you water afterwards to help flush the toxins. Also heaps of emotional stuff can come up after massages particularly if they target your hip area.

I've only had one deep tissue massage before and I loved it sooo much. They are incredible! But definitely a love/hate thing.

I got a mini facial the other day and it was so super nice, I came out of it feeling like a movie star or something! I've also been getting my nails done which makes me feel really fancy, at the moment I have a reaally nice bright blue on called Cerulean Sea and it makes me happy

I love having my nails done! I used to get a gel polish every two weeks when I lived in Whangarei, usually just a French polish and it was always so nice. There's something really lovely about having nice nails.

My friend works at Guerlain and is learning how to do make up and things for customers. A few weeks ago I went in so she could practice makeovers, yesterday she had to practice hand massages so I volunteered, and tomorrow she needs to practice facials, so again, doing my part and helping out. Best.

Oh man, I remember when my friend was doing a massage course and really needed volunteers to come in so she could be supervised working on people. It was great.

I feel like I should point this friend in the direction of massage/beauty therapy courses, haha.

Had a long hot shower, put a treatment through my hair, gave myself a little facial, shaved my legs and used the Toby & Rose sea salt scrub I bought at Bondi markets (it's so nice! Definitely recommend). Now I feel all soft and smooth.

Although, whenever I shave my legs, I always notice all these bruises I didn't realise I had and I've no idea how I got them. Just me?

I don't have that problem when I'm fairly inactive, but anytime I've worked in a physical job I've definitely noticed that. It'll be yo' hardcore nursing lifestyle

I bought stuff from Lush for the first time! I guess it might not count as "pampering" as it's just a shampoo bar, a facial cleanser and a sea spray for my hair, but it FEELS pamper-y just because Lush. My face feels great, my hair feels great. Expensive-ish but worth it I think! If I had a job everything in my bathroom would be Lush.

I loooove Lush! It's so expensive but I buy so much. Which shampoo bar and cleanser did you get?

The shampoo bar is called Squeaky Green and the cleanser is Angels on Bare Skin. Both are really nice - my hair feels so great and my skin already looks a bit better.
