Lush is great. Their christmas shower gels are the best. And I've been using a hair treatment once a week and it's making my hair so soft. I might have to change my shampoo and conditioner to lush stuff. Ro's argan body conditioner is amazing too.

I use Movis soap on my face in the morning and Let The Good Times Roll (a caramel popcorn scented light exfoliator) at night and my skin is so much nicer. I also bought Vanishing Cream moisturiser last week, but I'm not going to start using it until my sunburn has gone away, just in case. I used to use the Honey I Washed The Kids shower gel as shampoo, but last week bought the Honey I Washed My Hair solid shampoo, and I use American Cream conditioner. Love it all Smile

Do they have Lush in New Zealand? Because that's really your only excuse.

I used to have this Lush shower gel that smelled like freshly mowed grass, it helped wake me up in the morning. I wonder if they still sell it.

To be fair, I hadn't bought anything at Lush up until yesterday despite wanting to for YEARS because…I don't know, I'm bad at allowing myself to buy things that I think are "extravagances" and also every time I walked into a store I felt intimidated. Also: whenever I tell a Lush store person that I can't smell (right after they've held something up to my nose to sniff), there's a split second where their face registers just PURE HORROR. I always immediately have to run out of there because I feel so guilty for bringing such disappointment into their lives.

We do have Lush in New Zealand, but not in Whangarei, which was my excuse for years. Now that I live in Auckland and have done for a year I really have no excuse. I'm a combination of lazy and overwhelmed - I still don't have a skincare regime; I've been meaning to implement one for years but whenever I decide to take the plunge I suffer total confusion with all the mixed messages and end up not buying anything.

I'm going to look 80 when I'm 30.

And as for all the other Lush products, I'm exactly the same as Sian - I really struggle to justify "extravagant" purchases - my entire work wardrobe has been accumulated from hand-me-downs and secondhand purchases, I only buy makeup etc on sale or from discount sites and have avoided buying necessities like underwear and flat shoes for ages now because every time I go to spend that money I get stricken with guilt and think "But this could be so much better spent elsewhere!"

Once I'm in a good rhythm with commission at work and actually earning $80,000+ per year, like I should be, I'll feel far better about it all and be A-OK to spend some coin. In the meantime ... I maybe just need to grow some balls? Or lose some common sense?

I use to get the same guilt when spending, I'm still not used to paying for full price clothing but I've learnt everyone deserves to treat yo self now and then. The smell of Lush can be overwhelming though. I bought a couple bath bombs the other day and cannot wait for a bath on Sunday whilst recovering from Mardi Gras

As for a skin care routine, I've been slack lately but just remember to cleanse twice a day, moisturise, exfoliate every 1-2 weeks. I also usually put a mask on after exfoliating too

Ladies with Lush hair products: reviews? My hair is still super curly but seems to have become significantly thinner since I got balayage/went overseas and only used random shampoo and conditioner for four months. It's pretty long - waist-length when straight - and pretty dry in the ends which are blonde. I really want something good for rehydrating it and making it thicker and was thinking of buying Lush stuff. Any tips?

Tilly, I have the jasmine and henna fluff ease treatment and it's great. Its specifically for curly hair but also darker hair so I don't know how it's go with the blonde bits.

Okay, a couple of girls have suggested R&B hair moisturiser, left over night in the ends of your hair. Also, Curly Wurly shampoo or Jason and the Argan Oil solid shampoo Smile

Yay that's so awesome, thanks heaps Alex! Now it's just a matter of getting to a Lush shop when I'm working twelve hours a day, seven days a week haha Shocked speaking of pampering, I've never had a massage because I'm ridiculously ticklish. But I'm thinking of getting one when this job is over lest I end up like the hunchback of Notre Dame...

I use to flinch everytime they touched me in a massage but you get used to it, and you can always tell them that you're ticklish so they know you're flinching for that reason

Oh I have Curly Wurly shampoo but I haven't used it yet. I also have a bar of Porridge soap I'm pretty excited about.

When I was a teenager, I became a bit obsessed with Lush, and sort of decided it was my "thing". I still love it though, and the staff are always really helpful and know the products without being pushy.

I'm also super ticklish but massages are usually okay because it's not a light touch.

Massages are the best thing in the world and I'm so, so, so overdue one. My only saving grace is that Paul rubs or tickles my back every night, but it's not the same. (Although it is LOVELY! Just not a full hour of trans-dimensional gooeyness like pro massages are.)

Murray got a job as a librarian at the School of Natural Sciences, and apparently that means he gets $10 massages. He's going to see if he can get me in on that sweet deal!

I booked in for a shoulder, back and neck massage on Monday when I'm having a time in lieu day.I've never had a massage before, but I've been so stressed lately and I can feel it in my shoulders.
