Okay for my 21st I wanted a hot red minidress. This one is pretty much perfect; it's a Lippy dress and retailed for $150 brand new; it didn't reach reserve on Trademe so the seller has offered it to buyers for $45. Is it worth buying, or will I just look retarded in this dress? Honest answers please!

Tash, I think it will look super cute. It clings in the right places. I think you would look awesome in that colour. And it's a relatively short dress, and the more leg you see the taller you look (great for shorties like us).

Okay I bought it! Doesn't take much to convince me; I kinda had my heart set on it from the moment I saw it, anyway. If it doesn't fit properly I'll just sell it on.

Hahaha such a good call; I checked the girl's height before I bid on the dress and she's two inches taller than me so it'll sit a little lower on my leg. Minidresses aren't too hard to handle though; I'm not planning to do a whole lot of bending over so it should be fine!

The dress just arrived - it isn't red, it's pink! The picture lied! And she advertised it as a red dress. I feel so ripped off.

EDIT: I just went and tried it on, trying to convince myself it'd be sweet, but it isn't. The dress is pink, it doesn't look right. I wanted a red dress dammit! I look hot in red; pink isn't my colour. So hey if anyone wants a hot-pink size 10 Ladakh minidress, stick yo' hands up in the air!

Oh what a good idea! The party is this weekend! Pretty casual few drinks in the backyard type thing. Maybe I should ask Ness what she is wearing, that would make sense! I think it's just because the shopping in my town suuucks, and I was internetless for the last few weeks. Although my "throw together in 2 seconds" outfits are sometimes my best so there is hope yet

Ok I've looked at costume ideas and need some help dudes. I would love to dress as Hugh but this party is going to be full of people I don't know and who are bitchy so I have to conform. I'm not sure whether to buy the bustier or hire a costume because they cost about the same, plus my friend is having her 21st theme as Rocky Horror Picture Show and I'll probably need a corset style top for that too. I think the red one is incredibly cute! I hate parties with themes like this because you know it's basically an excuse for everyone to dress like sluts for a night and not be judged for it, but you don't necessarily WANT to dress like a slut. Then if you don't dress like a slut, people will judge you, but if you do, OTHER people will judge you! Such a pickle. I say just pick the cutest costume you can find, something that's comfortable but still short and sexy; preferably black and red 'cause that way you can rock it at your other friend's Rocky Horror party as well.
