So I went to Ally at Carousel today and out of five dresses that I tried on, only one was any good. But there are heaps (especially long sleeved ones) on the website that weren't in the Carousel store and now I really want to go to the city store where they have more of a range!

Oh Mathers has some flat knee high boots that I like. Pity I'm broke and they cost about $150 but it's so hard to find nice boots

I got something similar to these from KMART of all places for about thirty bucks the other day. They un roll at the top so they can be above or below the knee, I wear them above. They are snuggly and warm and comfortable.

Only difference is that mine are a bit flatter and they are a little more pointed, but not super pointed. I like them a lot.

I tried on the first, third and last ones today (they didn't have the second one in black, only white, and I'm too scared to wear white dresses clubbing in case they get drinks spilled on them) and I really want the third one! The last one is nice but it didn't look so great on me, plus the glitter from the frilly bit went everywhere. The first one fit and looked nice, but I much prefer the colour of the third one (it's slightly lighter than in the picture). Now to justify spending $132 to buy it online - at least it's cheaper than $150 in the shop I guess!

The third one was the one that struck me as the most "you" but I think it's because you've had a similar dress before? I'm suuuure you've had a dress in a bright blue colour with silver on it before. Am I crazy?

Yes I did have a bright blue (brighter than that!) dress for my year 11 river cruise that I've worn a couple of times since. Oh and I also had a bright blue ball dress with diamante things for a ball a couple of years ago. I really should just buy this dress haha.

A nice pair of black flat sandals that I can wear all day.

A black sapphire ring, the kind old men wear. Apparently my grandfather's is locked up somewhere but I'd be too scared to lose it, I want a cheapy fake one.

I want this dress and the ebayer is having 20% off right now making it only $48. Why do I have to be broke and an unemployed uni grad right now.

That looks kinda like a dress from Ally. Is it leopard print? I can't see the print properly. The one at ally is $20 at he moment and quite nice material for the price.

Leopard print wedges. I found some today that were so comfy but they were from Ruby shoes so they were really shit quality. I'd rather pay double for ones from Betts.

I don't know whether to buy this skirt or the dress.
