Tattoos

Oh one word will be fine! I barely even felt the quote I have on my collarbone. Without any colour or shading you will be sa-weet.

I designed mine with someone in Newcastle when I was no where near there?
I pretty much said "I want birds like this____, not too cartooony but not real life or sailory either, I want these colours and this particular way of the bird flying, but go nuts and do whatever".
I think it was about 2 or 3 weeks before it properly got done, but thats only because i wasnt close by. I'd seen the final piece maybe about 5 days before hand but before my booking.



With my anchor, even though it technically wasnt designed i did just walk in and ask for a tiny anchor around the same size as my peace sign. We found a design on the net but it wasnt able to be done small, so I ended up getting it bigger (which also just followed the lines of my ankle and just looked so much better anyway). Did it that day easy enough. Guess thats a different thing but.

Yeah, although I wasn't really worried about designing mine, I was just curious about bigger custom design pieces because my sister's was quite small and she had those issues.

I've never heard of anyone being quite that strict, or "ruley" before. It does seem weird. But then most of my experiences with people getting custom stuff have involved really big pieces, so you wouldn't have them as flash anyway. And I guess they're big enough that the tattooist has to make sure you're serious before they'd even think about designing it, whereas chicks enquiring about small tattoos then never going ahead is probably quite a common thing?

I have such a love hate relationship with my stupid white girl tattoo, it meant so much to me at the time, and I don't want to get it lasered and I can't really rework it because it's white ink. I just wish I didn't get a TATTOO WITH SUCH A STEREOTYPE why

What is it?

I have a white infinity symbol in my forearm. I was hesitant to post what it actually was because I couldn't remember if anyone else has one but I guess it's not a secret that it has a reputation amongst tattoo artists/people who are more serious about tattoos than 18 year old me

Heh I really made a big deal out of nothing. It's done It's much smaller than I planned, but I love it.

This is straight after, so it's still shiny and swollen, but squeeee!

Thanks y'all! I'm totally in love with it. It's much more finely detailed in real life, it's all swollen there so you can't really tell - I'll post a better picture when it's settled down a little. It's really nice, I expected a good job obviously, but he only drew it up an hour beforehand so it was all a bit up in the air as to how nice. I'm stoked with it!

So I've made another impulse decision to get a tattoo today. I've been thinking about a bit one for awhile but have been put off by the cost and planning required. Saw this new artist at Scott's friends studio and love her stuff so picked a couple of cute little flowers to get done on my ankles. I'm there now and will post pictures when it's done

Thanks! It looks way better now that it's almost healed. I yank my shirt up every time I go to the bathroom at work so I can check it out in the mirror. The dot work in it is beautiful. I'm even happier with it than I thought I would be!

Jasper Andres at Seventh Day Studio in Auckland.

Went to follow his insta. He's so talented! I asked as the lady (she was 18 at the time!) who did mine and my sister's moths in QLD has a very similar style and she's working in Aukland now.

The second one was a last minute decision. I'm really happy with them.
