Piercings.

haha kay. do you want one or both traguses pierced? and i think the clefs would look awesome. i always wanted a treble clef on my wrist too, but mum made me promise no tattoos on the upper half of my body till i'm married lol so i'm resting for my foot.

anyway jen, theres a really good piercing place at the shops i work in, i'll have a look for you. so it has to be clear but you dont mind if its a ring or a bar? and preferably 16g.

I want my tongue pierced. Does anyone have it done and if so, do you like it? I'm really worried about not being able to talk properly in the week after getting it done. Also, bacteria hangs out in my mouth a lot because of my rank tonsils - are tongue piercings really easy to infect?

I'm getting something pierced this weekend, but I'm not sure what. I think I might get my tragus redone.

I have my tongue pierced.
It did hurt a bit, but it's a piercing - they all hurt a bit.
Then it swelled for a few days, and I was so close to taking it out because it was hard to sleep with the massive bar. But I got used to it, and after it swells down you can get a smaller bar. As for infection, the mouth is naturally really clean. But the stuff they give you to numb the tongue and take a bit of swelling down is also an anti bacterial. So you use that a lot and just brush your teeth a little more than you usually would and you should be fine. Also don't use listerine mouth wash. The alcohol in it is bad for the piercing, as it kills EVERYTHING and not just the baddies. If you are working on monday and wan't to be talking normal again, get it done asap for the following reasons:
- You can learn to eat and talk around it
- The swelling goes down a bit
It will be a bit sore on monday and it will be hard to eat, but it's worth it. Because I love it.
I now talk totally normal, and it's weird not to have it in.
If you can get past the first few nights of weirdness and pain - it's pretty cool.
And usefull

Oh and as for talking weird, only for the first few days. If you had it done right now, you would be talking normal again by tuesday morning. Monday you might be a bit sore, and only a teeny bit weird. If think about what you're saying - you can talk normally the next day.

I really, really want to get my nipple pierced. I was talking about it with Alex. Not those icky ones that go through the areola bit because I think they look gross, I want one that goes through the actual nipple.

Still want my nose pierced - think I might do it sometime after I start this new job. Seems like the year to scar my body with all the things I've wanted since age 12!

I used to like piercings and now I'm totally over them. I wanted to get a tiny little lip piercing but I chickened out and now I don't want any.

I'm getting my lip done in just over a week. *excited*

got my ear pierced yesterday. nothing too big.

but because i was getting it done with a friend, who doesnt like needles, we got it done at the chemist and the chick wouldnt do it as high as i wanted it up my ear so now it's in some really random place.

I was contemplating getting my ears done again today.
But I didn't because I hate the idea of getting my ears done with a gun. Regardless of the fact that I've had 4 piercings with a gun and they've all been fine.

I'm so scared of what's going to happen when mum gets back from Europe and I have the piercing. I'll have it for a month, so $60 won't be really wasted. I really hope that I can keep it.

The amount of times I've accidently ripped out my earphone and it's PAINED my tragus.

I have four piercings in my ear, I did them myself they dont hurt unless you hit cartlige which in that case they KILLLL I did once and omg it took all will power to push on through

Ohhh my hairdresser has one of those! It's just under the crow of her eye, I always loved it.

Oh those new piercings, dermal anchors I think they're called.

I'm planning on getting my industrial piercing done once I come back from overseas and my ears a couple more times. Only problem is work and not being allowed to wear jewellery. I've been thinking bout getting some of those dermal anchors or surface piercings on my forearms again. I talked myself out of surface piercings but now I want them.
