I have to go to a Social thing and I was wondering if there was any ideas for makeup.

If all goes according to plan I will be wearing a black and white dress.

So, I have this random urge to dye my hair brown, just one of those colours that lasts around 8 washes, but I know nothing about hair dying at all. Mum keeps going on about how difficult it would be to do myself with hair my length and she refuses to do it, what do you think? I dunno, I probably won't end up doing it, but anyway...

Semi-permanent is easy peasy.
Alex, seriously, if I can do it with my hair, you can do it with yours.
Mine is down to my waist and thick.

And do you need to use a few packs for your hair considering its length and thickness?

8-wash colours are easy. They usually say on the packet if they reccommend more packets for longer hair.

Yeah, on average around 3, and sometimes the colour doesn't 'stick' so well because my hair is so curly, but you won't have that problem obviously.

I use Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour, but that is possibly because its the cheapest.

Yeah the Schwarzkopf ones are good. I use them. I use 2 packs because my hair is quite long and thick. Alex I suggest buying two, and using one and then opening the second if needed.

Ive put rinses through my hair heaps of times and its turned out fine.

Do it Alex, like everyone else has said, Schwartzkopf LIVE Colour 8 washes are about 4 or 5 bucks. They're designed to wash out so if you end up hating it, you don't have to hate it for long. I put one of those blueberry ones in my hair not long ago, I recommend that one, it's pretty dark though. Go for it I say!

But I decided to do it myself, get it over and done with before I chickened out lol, so here I am waiting to rinse the dye out of my hair. I went with Schwarzkopf Live Colour in Chocolate, so I guess we'll see how this turns out...

I shall take and post photos probably tomorrow, when it's all dried and straightened and presentable. I haven't dried it yet but it looks a bit darker and the red tones are showing through a lot at the front especially.

It's not a huge change really, it's basically my natural hair colour but a little bit darker, I don't know how noticeable it is in the photos but I promise you can see the difference in real life!

Yo Alex, not sure if the social has already happened...but what kind of look are you going for? Would you like something smoky and kinda dark, or colourful, or natural? Just remember to only feature one part of your face. So if you do a really cool eye, then go really natural on your lips and cheeks and stuff. Or if you want to chuck like bright red lippy on, then keep your eyes really natural yeah? Also how are you doing your hair? Because that matters as well haha.

Has anyone used those Chi Chi eyeshadow things? I don't know what they're called, or how to explain them properly for that matter, but they're basically eyeshadow that's already done for you and you transfer it from the backing onto your eyelid and away you go. My friend swears by them every time she goes out and they look pretty good in her photos, I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried them?

I tried those Chi Chi things before going out tonight. They look good, I used the smokey eye ones and yeah, I thought it looked cool. But I also found it kind of difficult to place them in the right spot and had to do a lot of blending to make it look right. However they don't seem to crease like normal eyeshadow does, which is good. I think I may go and buy another colour.

To stop creasing put primer and concealer on your eyelids before applying makeup

I totes bought the Invisible Zinc Megan Gale face + body sunscreen today. Cos I want my skin to stay like it is for as long as posssssible.

Eyeliner application, something I struggle with a lot.
I do not line the inner part of the bottom of my eye, because I look like a retard.
I sometimes line the outer part of the bottom and on the top, but how do I do it PROPERLY so that it looks good?
