I'm supposed to be getting a matching tattoo with my best friend Kristin when we go on holiday in August, little music notes behind our right ears. I'm quite excited

I found a tattoo that I really want when I was waiting with Klerr the other week. It was an owl inside a rose and the owl was kind made out of foliage? It's hard to describe and I can't find anything similar online. I want it so bad though! I think I'm going to get a quote tomorrow after work

I think I'm also going to ask them about fixing up my anchor. It just looks like someone stamped it on me, so I'm going to ask about getting something behind it.

I think I might get my elephant when I get my tax return money. Or my anchor... still cant afford my quote one though...

My incredibly talented artist friend Jaz is designing a hummingbird tattoo for me at the moment that I'll get while on holiday with Kristin. So, sometime within the next three weeks. Super excited!

I'd like to vent about tattoos just for a little moment.
I'm getting a bit sick of (and not on here, in my own life) every ones obsession with being inked. It's SUCH a big deal to everyone, I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
Everyone want's to be individual, so they are all getting tattoos.

It's sort of like the idea that you have the power to have whatever you want permanently on you, a reminder.
In some cases I guess it's a rebellion, see what I can do mum and dad type thing.

I want one but not in haste.

I just think they look pretty. Like how some people wear make up, or dye their hair to look pretty, I find tattoos prettier than both of those.

I agree, they can be really beautiful, and I like some of the designs I have seen.
I know why people get tattoos, it's just that it used to be something that maybe someone would consider getting done when they were out of school, on holiday or something. Or to mark a special occasion or in dedication to something or some one or even some band.

But nower days it seems like my friends have been bitten by this horrible bug, and all they want to do is talk about their next tattoo, putting it before everything. Their bills, their friends, their family, everything.

And EVERY kid I speak to these days has SOME design in their head that they want done. Just annoys me, that's all. I wanted one a while ago, but i've been turned off it lately. I can't see the point anymore.

I fucking hate Freestyle Tattoo in Canberra. They are so hard to get any information out of, and when they do tell you anything they do it with this judgmental sneer/tone of voice. Actually, it's just one guy (I'm guessing he's an apprentice) but I HATE HIM. I hate sub-culture elitism, they look me up and down and decide I'm not worth their time. >.<

I want a particular tattoo form a particular artist, but after this I think I'm just going to sneak in there, take a picture of it and go to Sydney and get it done. I really don't want to give them my business now.

Does he look ridiculous? Tall and lanky, lots of piercings and black hair. Pretty sure it'd be bobo and he's a fucking douchebag...

Actually getting a quote from them is a bit impossible too... until you're actually giving them the money to book it they won't really tell you how much it's going to cost it's all "we'll, it could be this much... or um, yeah..."
I'm pretty secure with them though... but the other places in Canberra seem really bogan like, and I can't be bothered traveling.

My sheet music idea won't work "Like trying to fit an elephant into a match box". Too much detail for too little a space. I'm gutted! Still want something in that space but have backed off the idea for now and asked Mully to design me a pair of cuffs instead. Then maybe the quote across my collarbone. Still humming and haahing over having ink there; not 100% on placement...

I was talking to Cathy and Andrew about how I want my "Musica" tattoo and it was suggested I get "Vivace Musica" (Lively music). I quite like it but obviously this makes it bigger and then I'd have to figure out placement and all. And I'm not entirely sure I like it better than the original idea. Any thoughts?
