Tattoos

a few if the girls at aif have said they want to get a new tattoo to celebrate the end of our course, I think it would be a good opportunity for me to finally get mine, I just can't find any styles of writing that I like!

And question, does anyone know if the top of the bum hurts? I want to get it on my lower back to the side, but so you can't see it unless I wear my pants really low lol

Tomorrow I have to spend the $200 I have saved for my tattoo on stamp duty, or I won't have enough money for a trip down the coast for my friends 21st. Buying a car is awesome and all, but it means I probably wont be able to book my tattoo for a couple of months. So sad.
My mum however, is not sad.

I really want this tattoo, but it will probably cost $500.

The fattier the area, the more it hurts, from what I've heard. But at the end of the day, it's a tattoo: wherever you get it will be at least a little painful.

I've been told the exact opposite. The bony-er, the hurty-er.

Well, my foot's bony, and barely hurt at all. Same has been said by friends of mine who've had their ankles and behind ear done, yet every friend who's had anything fleshy inked said it hurt like fuck. Much more sensitive, more nerve endings or something? Not sure. But literally everyone I know who has tattoos said the bony ones are a breeze compared to fatty.

Back of the calf is the most painful place to have inked, according to three tattooist friends of mine (all of whom have virtually whole bodies inked). That surprised me!

My foot hurt so so so so much, and my arm was easy peasy (in comparison... i mean, it's still a needle going into your skin thousands of times). My back hurt a lot, but I think that was because it was my first tattoo and apparently the girl who did it is really heavy handed.

Is it still a tramp stamp if it's not in the centre?

I'd get a tramp stamp. But I'd wait till my body was kinda covered so it looked less trashy and more "well, it's bound to go there eventually."

I don't mind them as long as they're something tasteful, not just that 'tacky tribal' or a butterfly or something.

When I was 18 I wantes a tribal butterfly... Only because Vanessa means Butterfly.

Then I realised it was trashy so I decided against it.


Another place I was thinking of was the side of my hip, written from front to back on my left side. But still hidden... any thoughts?

A lot of people have that, and you're right it's in an easily hidden place.

It's a nice placement but you might want to think about longevity. If it's the place on the hip I'm thinking about you'll probably gain and lose weight there over time.

Yeah that's why I didn't get it at the front. I was thinking about if I ever had kids then it may stretch... heard a bad story about a woman who had a dolphin on her stomache and it turned into a whale

That's true. Some people get them on their breasts, you could have it done there.

I would've thought thigh would be quite hidden? Especially if you go inner thigh. (Which I actually think would be a really sexy place for a quote.)

There's always the under-boob too, which can look sexy with a quote. But if you're thinking side of hip, go for it!
