Okay, In about a months time I'm going to a party where the theme is "Rockstar". Any ideas?

I can think of a million female rockstars but no idea how to dress up any of them. Especially considering I'm pretty broke. Also, I'm not even sure if I'm going because of work and I won't know until a week before so I need something I can pull together during that week because I don't want to go all out and sew a leather jumpsuit all for nothing.

Even though he's not female (well, duh!) I would go as Angus Young from AC/DC because he's wonderful. School boy (girl?) outfit and hat and you're done. Cut-out cardboard guitar for extra points!

I dressed up as Pat Benatar for a lip-syncing contest at school years ago, just wore an old school one-piece swimsuit (black and white leopard print, yeeeah) under black tights with a cropped loose black singlet, snakeskin high heels and BIG hair. Female rock stars are easy, you can basically pick up anything black and grungey looking from the op shop and turn it into a believable outfit. I'd go for Joan Jett, wear black skinnies, dirty Chucks, an old ripped band tee and maybe get a cheap spiky black wig from a variety store. Or Courtney Love! Ohh now that could be fun

Go as Karen O!

I actually thought of Karen O but alot of what she wears is really skin tight and I don't know if I'd be comfortable.

Joan Jett is a pretty good idea. I thought maybe Siouxsie Sioux (mainly so I when people ask who I am I can say "I'm Susie" and have a giggle) that'd probably quite a similar costume. Black and punky with a spiky wig.

Go as ABBA

Oh dude, if I knew I was going I would totally sew up an ABBA costume. I'd sew four and con people into going as the entire ABBA. But that takes alot of effort to then just be like "Oh, I have work. Sorry."

just get an empty kfc bucket, carry a baby doll aorund by the leg and go as britney spears. show up drunk for added effect :-)

Okay peeps. Me again.
I have another themed 21st (fuck I'm getting over these) and this one is entitled "Come dressed as your favourite dancer".
Now I know everyone is just going to go as 80s retro or a ballerina. So I was thinking I would go as a liturgical dancer. As in, someone who dances at church.
Thoughts? Got better ideas? Someone is going as a chicken. Pfft, wish I'd thought of it first.

Okay, I looked up pictures of liturgical dancers (coz I'm just that cool) and from that I gather you should wear white pants or white long skirt and then get a colourful piece of fabric, cut a hole for yo head and wah-la!

Yeah. Do that, or just use a strip of coloured fabric around your hips (NOT YOUR WAIST THAT SHOWS YOUR FEMININE FORM AND IS SINFUL YO)

Halloween party, the theme is "scary." I think I'm gonna go as Minnie Mouse. She freaks me out.
