HAIR!!

Yay! Very excite!

So the hairdresser cut quite a bit off my hair. She finally did a proper fringe though! Usually no one understands what I want! haha. And I don't know, my hair just looks more grown up now. haha.

The thing that annoyed me though, she did the layers in the front and then asked if I wanted them straightened, I was like yeah alright, and she just uses the straightener to flick it all inwards. Woot for 70's hair.haha. Actually straightened it when I got home.

Don't mind it, actually have a bit of style to it now, but let's see what happens after I wash it when it needs it. Won't be as nice anymore, I bet.haha

Yes! You need to bleach where you want it purple or whatever colour, then use fudge or another dye. The lighter you get the hair the better. The colour will probably only last 2 weeks in well. I can't remember how badly purple fades, but I'll let you know soon because the underside of my fringe is purple now.

I wish I had the guts to dye my hair an outrageous colour, but I'm a) scared of ruining my hair and my hair is healthy and low maintainence now and b) I know it would jeaporside job prospects, stupid corporate world

Yeah, that's the only thing putting me off right now Addy, I work in insurance and my boss is a particularly distinguished, refined man. Don't know how he'd handle purple hair! I'd definitely have to run it by him first.

I'm too chicken shit to bleach my hair at home, I have really healthy hair naturally and would hate to fuck that up. I'm generally shit at anything hair-related anyway so I'd probably completely burn it off or something! Have emailed the pic to my stylist though and told him to get thinking ... we spoke about crazy colours when I was in on the weekend and he said it's totally doable, just need to up the conditioning treatments afterward.

I think I'll ease Paul into it, then have bright hair for the summer

I think I'll be fine, my hair's short enough that a bright colour won't be too alarming, especially if I keep the underneath dark, like that photo. (I hope...)
