I wanted to bleach it and dye it all pink but that didn't happen, then I got bored with a little bit of pink so I put purple in now it looks a bit gay

I'm actually still recovering from my last blonde experience. I had tons of blonde foils that looked good for a few weeks, and then turned crap on me and started changing colours...I could have died over it but I wanted my natural colour back. Because I knew if I kept dying over it I wouldn't stop. So I am still suffering now. I hate the way it just grows out a little bit and looks like shit. Ugh.

My cousin is really bad for this, she dyes her hair a new colour so often, red, blonde, brown, purple...she has been everywhere. Her hair is red right now and she is dying it blonde again this week...

I reckon that one extra dye to brown would get me addicted or something hahaha.

I really don't like my hair.

It looks like crap. I can't find a hairstyle to suit me. I want a fringe, but a full on fringe looks retarded because it is light blonde over black eyebrows and it looks massively gay, and when I get a side fringe it never really works, and it messes up my eyebrow really bad and also gets in my way so I end up tucking it behind my ear or something and it looks even worse.

I'd say do what I did, and get a side fringe long enough that it can just be put into your normal hair on days a fringe is too much effort.

I push the hair up and bobby pin it.

Used to be my thang. I did it like every single day.

I did that! Before I got my sexy sexy haircut.

Except I just teased it all up a bit and chucked it into a ponytail. Voiila.

I do that now.


I am really lazy when it comes to hair I suppose.

I used to hate my hair colour, but now I love it. Ive put a rinse through my hair 3 times, never permanently dyed it, but I have put the garnier hilights in it twice.

Everyone asks me if its my natural hair and noone believes me when I say it is. WHen I was younger I didnt really take good care of it, now I always brush it a lot every day and use a good shampoo. Now its always silky (except when its dirty and greasy)

I want to dye my hair again. It's my obsession haha. I want to dye it that white blonde but don't know if I would suit it. I geuss it would be easy to dye back..anyone done it?

Hmmm, tiger stripes can look bad. But maybe thats because my school principal had them WHILST MAKING THE RULE THAT WE CANNOT HAVE HIGHLIGHTS IN OUR HAIR.

My hair was mousy brown but it's been highlighted then purple then redish then purple then brown+green then dark brown and now the dark brown has faded to darkish brown

Yeah they were really obvious. Like, she's a dark ginger, right, and she got just blonde chunks done straight across her head. It looked terrible.

Subtle ones, however, I think would look nice.

Well I saw this girl who had dyed her own har and it was dark brown like mine is now and then she had grabbed a strand of hair (not a single strand but a chunk like bit) and put stripes of blonde horizontally through it. And I've gotten inspired but she is a hairdresser. And I am not. And I can't go back to my hairdressers because he dyed my hair for a competition and it took him three days and I dyed over it. In my defence it went a weird colour..

I put this in the Tegan and Ness thread but I don't know if they're actually hair experts or just makeup, soooo if anyone knows:

I don't know how to do my hair. I have mastered: Ponytail and pigtails (which look crap), two plaits (which looks a bit better but still boring and stuff) and a bandana (which I do all the time) and I sometimes have my hair out but it knots very quickly and it looks limp and sometimes greasy.

I know that for limp hair you should blow dry underneath after you wash it, and when I brush the underside of my hair it looks nice when I flip my head up but obviously those things don't last very long.

Any tips on how to make my hair not limp, and wear it in a way that is relatively easy (remember, I know absolutely NOTHING when it comes to this sort of stuff) and yet not boring?

My hairdresser told me about it last time I got a cut. You spray it on your roots when your hair is wet and blow dry (I have not mastered the art of blowdrying but whatever, I make it work) and it goes boofy. In a good, sexy way.
