Costume ideas (again)

I get to work on Halloween and we get to dress up! Yay pirate!

MY MORPHSUIT ARRIVED TODAY! It is awesome!

I ended up buying that witch costume and it arrived today! It fits perfectly, which is unusual for me considering I bought it online, but the skirt is a tiny bit too short. Where can I get an underskirt kind of thing from, would a fancy dress hire shop sell them?

Yup, or just buy some tulle and elastic from a fabric store and make one yourself, they're really easy.

(This from someone who literally blew up a sewing machine at age 13 - it HAS to be easy if I say it is!)

Oh good idea Tash! I rang a few costume shops in my area today and two said they stock them, but one said theirs are about $35-40! Whereas the other shop said about $25, guess where I'll be looking first...

I'm going to 2 halloween parties. One where it will be acceptable to go as a pirate wench (shortish skirt, corset, fishnets, knee high boots) and the other where I'm not sure if it will be. Dilema!
Need to get my boots from Tobys soon so I can see.

I have two work Christmas parties to attend this year (one of the perks of changing jobs at the start of December), one themed 1980's and the other Red Carpet.

Obviously for the Red Carpet party I should just wear a formal dress and heels, but had the smartass idea this morning that I could actually wear red carpet. Buy a couple metres from the fabric store and roll myself up in it for the night, or something. Dumb, or genius?

The '80s one I'm a bit more stuck on, there are just too many fun options with the '80s. I'm leaning toward aerobics instructor with heels and a mullet wig, thoughts?

Work Christmas party theme is "Heroes and Villians", and we'll be playing laser tag.

Ideally I'd like to find a hot green dress and a red wig and go as Poison Ivy but that doesn't seem practical for laser tag? Also it's in a week and I'm still not sure if I'm going so nothing I need to order off the net.

Last heroes and villians party i went to, i dressed up as Sue Sylvester from Glee. Pretty easy , but my other idea was going as Scar, coz he is bad ass.

P.S. Guys I would hire those costumes without one moment's hesitation. No jokes. This week I have to start organising a Mexican fiesta party for work (to promote some new Jose Cuervo products) and because I work in a bar, I should really wear, like, a sexy costume, but I sooo want the fake mo and giant sombrero. SIGH.

Yeah I am never good at those sexy costumes either, I much prefer funny/clever ones.
