I know I'm going out on a limb here, but has ANYONE seen Maybelline Wonderfinish foundation in the shops lately? I know they've stopped making it, but I am desperate here. It's the best foundation I've used and I'm sad that I'm almost at the end of my bottle. I saw it at Chemist Warehouse the other day really cheap, but I'm fairly certain they were just the old testers as they weren't packaged, looked as though they'd been used and weren't quite full. I was tempted to buy all of them haha, but the fact that they looked used kind of grossed me out. The only place I've been able to find it is on Ebay but in America, so it would end up costing me about $40...and I don't want it quite that badly!

So I was wondering, if anyone happens to be wandering through a make-up section, could you please have a quick look at the Maybelline counter and see if they have Wonderfinish foundation in 05 Porcelain? And if possible could they buy it and send it to me and obviously I would be more than happy to pay you back for the product and postage. I know it's unlikely that any stores will still have it but I guess it's worth a shot!

I was going to suggest trying a mineral powder foundation instead, I've made the change recently from liquid and am completely hooked - SO good - but my L'Oreal one costs me $46 and you clearly don't wanna spend that much. D'oh! Seriously though if you can find a cheaper one, they are so great.

Is that the one that's a powder? Does it give good coverage? I know Jess had a Maybelline one like that, I should have a look around. But I hate foundation shopping so much! I bought a mineral foundation that's a liquid and the colour is fine, it's just that it doesn't stay on so well, even with a powder. After wearing that one for so long, I decided to use my old Wonderfinish foundation for Melbourne Cup and to me it just looked so much better, even by the end of the night.

Mineral is good if you have pretty clear skin to begin with, I found that if I had a couple of spots it wasn't so great at coverage. I'm using the mineral liquid one at the moment and I don't mind it.

Today I bought an eyeliner gel pot from Napoleon and an eyeliner brush. The pot was $30 and the brush was $25.
I love it already. It's obviously thicker than liquid eyeliner but definitely gives a more defined look. The brush is really small and hard so I'm going to have to practice before I wear it out anywhere. There's so much in this pot that I don't even mind paying $30. It'll probably last me 2 years at least.

Thats not a bad price.

Tell me if it works well, im yet to find a good eyeliner and I prefer liquid-y ones to pencil ones.

Hey Alex does wonderfinish come in a orangey/brown bottle? I think I hve some somewhere but I don't like to wear foundation so I've never really used it. I'll have a look though!

It's a white bottle but the lid is beige-y, like the same colour as the foundation.

And the bottle is kinda... flat? Haha I'm not a very good describerer. I'll have a look on the weekend anyway

I don't know where to find Napoleon over here!!! It's driving me nuts cos I always hear such great things about Napoleon products, but I like to try before I buy, and I just cannot find it ANYWHERE. I do not want to drive all the way to Auckland just for make-up

Benefit im sure we sell at places like myer or something as well as like mecca cosmetica or whatever its called.

And oohh eyeliner pot i do want some but not sure if id like it or not!
I need some new brushes and im not sure if ill just buy some at work or just go to lincraft or something.

FYI - Brushes from cosmetic places are good but you can get exactly the same type cheaper at craft places. Theyll be good too sometimes!

Actually, you might be able to find Napoleon at Myer too, Tash. Maybe try David Jones. Wait, do you guys have Myer and David Jones??

They looked like they'd been used for testers or something because they weren't in plastic wrap and when you opened them they looked like they'd been used around the top...but they were still full and they were cheap and I cannot find them anywhere else so I bought two. Now I have good foundation again!

I stole some of my sister's Beauty Cake this morning cos I was going for coffee with Peter and Jarrod and felt a bit tired looking, so wanted to spruce up my face. (Yes, that's right, spruce it up.) I forgot how good this shit can look, I think I'm going to reinvest in Beauty Cake again.
