That's so funny! I used to always see him at my favourite Vietnamese place with a different beautiful boy each time. He's definitely a character.

My hair was really dry, and I had some overripe avocadoes so decided to experiment. I made a hair mask with the avocadoes, olive oil, honey and aloe vera. Now my hair is so soft and smooth that I can't stop touching it!

Oooh! Did you just leave it on and then shampoo it out? I have never done a hair mask but it has taken a battering this weekend so I should probably give it some attention.

Except I swapped out the essential oils for aloe vera I have growing on the balcony, then I slathered it on, put on a dorky shower cap and let it sit for over an hour (or about four Arrested Development episodes), and then just shampooed and conditioned as normal.

It honestly felt super wierd putting food in my hair, and I was half convinced that I was still smelling like guacemole the rest of the day, but it made my hair feel so silky!

Disclaimer: my hair is naturally dry, I feel like it might not be so great for hair that is prone to oiliness.

I got a haircut! I didn't realise how low I'd been feeling RE: myself until the haircut was done. I'm so into it! It's not the best photo and it's definitely a cut I'm going to have to learn how to style well myself, but I love it. I feel so much less slobby and unattractive! My hair is just below shoulder length and completely au naturale. I'm finally bored with it and ready to chop and dye. I've decided to go blonde again; my question is whether to go a tiny bit shorter, or a lot shorter?

Although with that length I think you'd find you could only tie SOME of it up as opposed to all of it, and then some of it falls out of the hair tie, which I personally find more annoying. BEEN THERE.

I've had my hair in a ponytail for like, a week and despite combing it every night it's dreading on it's own around where my ponytail sits.

Fuck wiry frizzy curls are a pain in the ass. I need to change up my hairstyles daily or just have French braids every day.

I haven't been to the hairdresser in over a year but I bought a Groupon voucher the other day for a cut, treatment and either balayage or a full head of foils ($129 valued at $380!). My hair has been driving me insane lately, it's just so big, there's so much of it, I always end up wearing it half-up half-down because it gets in my face, and the blonde bits get so tangled just from being slept on for one night. Also everything I own is constantly covered in hair haha. I don't want to cut it short but even 10cm I think would make a difference!

I haven't decided yet and the appointment is this Saturday!

I might just give my hairdresser creative rein. I trust her.

I'm not stoked with it. My hairdresser uses all organic products, which is great, but she neglected to mention until after the colour was done that they are, like, abominably way way less effective than normal chemical shit. She was marveling at how well the colour had lifted from my hair and how blonde it had gone and I was like, really? Really? I went from dark brown to platinum white blonde in one sitting once before, how the fuck are you impressed by this? IT'S BARELY CHANGED.

So, yeah. It's a bit lighter, but honestly about the same lightness as it was during summer when I was in the sun a lot. Not quite the cool change-up I was going for ... I'll be surprised if people even notice. (Paul didn't. I got home and he said oh, did you just get a cut after all that? I thought you were getting a colour too? YES BABE I DID. THIS IS IT.)

I also gave her full creative rein with the cut, and this is what she did. I mean. Come on. I look like a hyper conservative mother of two. I look like I want to speak to the manager.

The good news is it's not one of those bad haircuts where you can't go back (well, not BACK but to someone else) and get what you actually want done because they've hacked all your hair off. Such a shame/waste of money to have to though I'm sorry. I don't think you look bad or boring but it SUCKS to not get what you wanted, especially when you've been planning it for a while.

I'm undecided whether to die my hair purple or not. I'm not dying my whole head as I work in a pretty strict corporate environment so going more an ombre style.

So internet please make a decision for me. I'm thinking either a lilac, plum or a violet purple.
